Greetings! :)
Phew! What a week it’s been on MAdo. 12 posts in 10 days. Between July 2011 and January 2012, there were only 13 posts! :D Not working does have its benefits :P This post-a-day flood will continue till the end of next week, and then there will be, most probably, no posts until June 2012.
The theme of the weekend is Unusual. So, for today’s seven I’m going to show you seven unusual things I’ve come across. Five of them are stuff I’ve seen on the internet, one on TV and the other in person. This is a very silly seven, so if you’re looking to spend your time reading something worthwhile, please close this tab now! :P :)
I love Weekly Photo Challenges! I love it so much that I’ve extended it from just one post on Fridays to three posts over the weekend! :) Show and Tell SATurdays is where I show a photo and tell the story behind, or related to it. Sunday Sevens is where I explore a favourite format of mine – lists. Both of these posts will (try to) stick to the theme set by the weekly challenge. Do come back next weekend for more on a new theme! :)
Cricinfo’s Epic Live Commentary
For most people around the world who cannot be in front of a Television set during a cricket match, live commentary such as the excellent one offered by ESPNCricinfo is the closest one can get to be a part of the action on the field. During the opening ceremony of the 2011 Indian Premier League , perhaps all of us following the live commentary got more than we bargained for! xD Oh god.. Our South Indian songs, I tell you.. :P
For the interested, this is the song –
Creepy AdI don’t know what to say about this! :P
Breaking News
There used to be a time when Breaking News meant very serious news that needs to be shared as soon as the station received it. Indian media of late have started to break every insignificant piece of news. The above picture is a screen grab of a national news channel. Bigg Boss is India’s version of Big Brother. Heh.
More News
UNBREAKING NEWS! THIS JUST IN :P
Instructions..
From my Yana Trip. Oh well.. What can I say.. :)
Despite the terrible boards, I must say Yana is a really wonderful place to visit.
The last two are my favourites! :)
Cricinfo Again xD
What difference a missing ‘M’ makes!
I am not entirely sure whether this is plain coincidence or sheer genius! Indian International Cricketer S Sreesanth’s twitter page –
I had no idea I’d be using these photos/screenshots ever, let alone all of them in one post! :)
What I am against is quotas. I am against hard quotas, quotas they basically delineate based upon whatever. However they delineate, quotas, I think, vulcanize society. So I don’t know how that fits into what everybody else is saying, their relative positions, but that’s my position ~ George W Bush (This quote was used in my first post on this blog, 56 posts ago! :) )
lol

If it’s not Big Boss it is predicting the sex of baby B or now her name!!! That’s the reason I have stopped watching news programmes! Cricket is still shoved down my throat though whether I like it or not :-)

Too much (sometimes unnecessary) information on screen! I’d like to see a BBC World-ish Indian channel.
Haha, you’ll get more cricket soon.. IPL begins soon! :D

Don’t mind IPL actually! Especially since I am a Chennai fan (and resident) :-)
