One Dark Night – A Sequel
They left hand in hand. She didn’t know where, nor did she ask.
For once, she was happy.
She was happy ‘coz unlike the last several times, her dreams weren’t crashed.
She was happy that her wait, like many other waits, weren’t futile.
She was happy ‘coz in her hand she had what she waited for so long.. So very long..
Every minute with him was sealed in a kiss and a desire… A strong desire to stay next to him for the rest of what they had left.
She had hopes, but no assurances.
They made a small house away from the world, deep in the woods. All she did was sing for him and be with him for several noons and nights.
He went for his work and nothing was discussed.
He told her fascinating stories from all round the world. He made her giggle like a 10-year-old girl.
He knew he loved her. He knew he wanted her. But only time would tell where this would lead..
‘Coz right now they were nothing more than estranged lovers. . .
