One Dark Night – A Sequel

Greetings :)

You may remember my open invitation to write a sequel to the vignette One Dark Night. We have our first response! :)

One Dark Night – A Sequel

They left hand in hand. She didn’t know where, nor did she ask.
For once, she was happy.
She was happy ‘coz unlike the last several times, her dreams weren’t crashed.
She was happy that her wait, like many other waits, weren’t futile.
She was happy ‘coz in her hand she had what she waited for so long.. So very long..

Every minute with him was sealed in a kiss and a desire… A strong desire to stay next to him for the rest of what they had left.

She had hopes, but no assurances.
They made a small house away from the world, deep in the woods. All she did was sing for him and be with him for several noons and nights.
He went for his work and nothing was discussed.
He told her fascinating stories from all round the world. He made her giggle like a 10-year-old girl.

He knew he loved her. He knew he wanted her. But only time would tell where this would lead..
‘Coz right now they were nothing more than estranged lovers. . .

The author is a friend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous.

I know of a couple of bloggers who have accepted the invitation. I will put up the links to the other sequels as soon as they are posted. The invitation will never close; you’re always welcome to write a sequel, or a sequel to a sequel! ;)

MAANP.S. This is post number 50 on my 83-week-old blog :) Nice to cross these little milestones.
